IN THE DEPTH OF DESPAIR

Foolishness prevails
Dignity .. no avail
Resolve fails
Emptiness trails

Mistakes repeated
Lessons unlearned
Heart shattered
Dreams disappeared

Life astray
Memories fade away
Wasted today
Gone the ray

Living fear
Dead terror
Delved deeper
No answer

Hate imminent
Resent apparent
Bitterness evident
Soul unopened

Hope..mockery
Belief..travesty
Future..obscurity
The end...a certainty

Hi Rina, can I share something with you... something from a book I read recently... "Man, by his nature, must choose to think and produce in order to live, and the better he thinks, the better he will live. Since each man's own life makes his values possible, chosen behavior which furthers his life as a thinking being is the moral, and chosen behavior which harms it is the immoral. (Without free choice, morality is impossible.) Therefore, rational thought and action and their rewards, emotional, physical, and material, are the whole of a man's self-interest. The opposite of self-interest is sacrfiice which
is always wrong because it's destructive of human life."

yes im sorta back in the sunshine mode..:)thanks partly to u.ive heard of the little prince, reminds me of the alchemist for some reason.maybe coz both focus on the same premise :journey to find yourself from within.. (or at least thats how i interpret it)

As for your second comment... couldnt agree more.. we always have choices in life. in fact this particular idea reminds me of my Jurisprudence lectures during undergraduate studies.. :)thanks for sharing
